Abstract

This article proposes a methodology to help organizations define and develop effective management indicators to monitor and control the strategies they adopt in pursuit of their objectives. The proposed model has a systems focus and is based on control concepts from cybernetics theory.  The model also highlights the key factors of success, initially introduced by Dr. Ronald Daniel in 1960 and popularized by Rockart and his IT research team at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1979.
